THRESHOLD's Cover Of MUSE's 'Supermassive Black Hole' Available For Streaming
February 1, 2010British progressive metallers THRESHOLD have just released a brand new digital single, a cover of the MUSE song "Supermassive Black Hole". The song is now available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.
Commented Richard West: "'Supermassive Black Hole' was such a huge hit for MUSE, it's become a modern classic and it's still in the top ten of the U.K. rock charts after 150 weeks!
"I hope MUSE enjoy THRESHOLD's reworking of their song; we've stayed fairly true to the original but with some added THRESHOLD heaviness."
THRESHOLD will also reissue its latest effort, "Dead Reckoning", including instrumental versions of all songs of the album as a bonus. The digital release of the package is scheduled for mid-February.
West states: "We often get requests from fans wanting access to instrumental versions of our songs, so after seeing bands like NIGHTWISH and MASTODON release extended versions of their albums with instrumentals included, it seemed logical for THRESHOLD to do the same with 'Dead Reckoning'. So whether they're being used for karoake competitions, holiday video soundtracks or just for singing along in the shower, we're happy to make them available."
